I have a lot of people to thank for turning a bad night around and making it one to remember. First thanks go to the safety crew after our only son Miles took his now famous flip with a 4 3/4 barrel roll at start of the Supercharger heat race. Miles was done for the night. He was shaken but uninjured. Thanks go to Russel Blades for letting me use his spare axle, Lee Majors, Russel, and Thomas Velasquez for helping to the end with the repair. As this was going on, several of the junior drivers were talking to Miles to get him back in the car for the main. This was HUGE! Thank you drivers. Thanks Tami for keeping me posted on time remaining. As we finished in the nick of time and pushed up to pre-stage everyone applauded. That was super! I can't thank you all enough for last night. Miles can't believe he flipped his car in the heat and still ran the main only to fall victim of the chain gremlin. We'll be back to race another day.

| Kevin watch the video closer.Alexis was being forced out by the 17 truck. They talk about rough driving every drivers meeting. If Mike would like to see the color of paint on Alexis car after every race,Id be willing to show him.(problem solved)Alexis returned that favor last week just doing what shes told by her dad.Im sure that's where he gets his advice from. |

Just crusing through the website again, as I do every now and again. Came across that video of the #7's flip. Wow!!! I hope he is doing ok???
It looks like the 17? (black) car was pushed out to the right through the field and then smashed into the 7 car. I didn't see where racer66 was involved at all though. It didn't look like the pink car was even affected.
Did the 17 have something break or was there any bumpdrafting from behind? They all were pretty close! It seemed pretty severe that the 17 went out to right field all of the sudden.
Sometimes I wonder if there are too many costly and dangerous accidents that happen with the little ones. I think of my grandkids and it scares me to think of what could happen all in the name of racing or winning. It is worth it - is it? I wouldn't let my grandkids out there!
All in all, I hope everyone is ok.

Thanks for your concern Bill. Miles if fine now. He was nervous , scared, an mad all at the same time Saturday. We are sorting out the details now. I can only hope there was not some intentional rough driving encouraged or somebody may get hurt next time there is a bad accident. |

| I should have posted differently, I did not mean to imply the 17 truck turned out, he got turned out in front of the 66 car causing the barrel roll.In my opinion the black and red 50 truck pushed the 17 truck out of the way causing this incident. And the 6 might have tapped the 50 into the 17 .Sorry if that was taken wrong. |

| I too was glad to see Miles was ok. I think these kids do a great job week after week. Remember guys these are kids they do make mistakes and they are learning. People need to get the facts straight before pointing fingers and trying to put blame any one of these kids. In this case it was a racing deal. Bottom line is the #17 Truck was not running right in the heat race and did the same the start of the Main would not take off at the same speed as the others. (of coarse theres gonna be a pile up if the pole sitter doesnt take off!!) Poor little guy that would be scary. Once again it wasnt his fault nor was it anyone elses fault!!!! I love these kids lets give them encouragement and be positive!! |

that was a heck of a crash! Im glad he was ok. I am proud of how the kids just brush it off and get over it. If they are using the safety equipment available, they are as safe as can be doing a dangerous sport. That is the nature of the game however. I suppose softball is safer but if they want to race (and grow up to be big race people), I think it is awesome that their families support that and let them do it.
I agree with "loudpedal" in that they need to learn and to be encouraged. My daughters raced when they were little and yes it was scary, but they loved it and they learned alot. It also made them great real drivers when they were 16, because they learned about quick reflexes and watching out for the other guys. It was a very positive experience
All drivers make mistakes.... kids will too. Like I said, they will learn... _________________ Jan Munroe |

Looks to me like the car behind the 17 car (50?) was pushing the 17 car and that is not clean driving you cant push people out of your way to get in front of them, that is not fair! That is rough and dangerous. if i were the parents of 7, 17, 66, and the other 2 cars I would be really upset to see this kind of behavior on the race track acceptable. These kids must not be beginers cuz I did not see a yellow flag on the cars in this video. the parents should be telling their kids to go have fun, not take out others and possible hurt another child to win, winning is not the soul perpose of race day. seems people are taking this too lightly. Where is the good skill here?
Am I the only oone who sees this?
