Vra had a good showing with Eleven people showing up. In the Sportsmen we had Eric Alton and Chris Olsen having a great battle with Chris taking the checkers. Mike Sweeny Jr. the 20x and 14 did a great job but I'm not sure where they finished. In the Vets Dave Hume lost a radiator during the dash and DNS for the Main. Kevin Alverson finished I think in 4th. In the Pros Mike Lewis was in the C main but broke something in his front end and didn't transfer. Jeff Shelton won his heat and started 3rd in the B main. He transfered to the A main but on about lap 26 running in 13th blew his rearend up and had to park it. Dillion Hume didn't have a good heat and had to start towards the front of the D main He finished 2nd and transfered to the C which he finished in the top ten to transfer to the B main. In the B he finished 15th and missed the transfer by one spot. Dillion you are getting better every lap and a win is in your near future. I had a rough start in my heat I blew a rearend spool out while leading and got clobbered by someone. After replacing the Gear and some front end parts we Started in the last row of the D main and by being patient I won. The C main was a little more wild but was able to finish 4th and we went on to finish 4th in the B main too. I was running in 8th in the A Main on about lap 23 when going down the back stretch I broke a long axle which allowed me to do 2 very high speed donuts then off to the infield to watch the rest of the race.
Ryan Cotrell Won the Pros, Eric Lopez 2nd and Gilbert Toste in 3rd.
Gary Ebeling took the trophy in the Vets, Kelly Glucthes 2nd and Mike VanAcker in 3rd. (good job buddy).
Thanks to CDCRA for putting on another successful event it was a blast. Also a special thanks to to My wife the Altons, Humes, Jeff Shelton and my main man Rob Brown for all your help. These events are all about making new friends, doing some partying and racing our asses off.
