For anybody who was planning on coming, here is the new information. Log onto Dwarfworld.com and check out the message board for any more information on hotel rooms etc, etc. It will be a lot of fun and a lot of seat time for anybody who goes. Hope to see at least a few VRA guys there.

Saturday afternoon the 14th of November the Dwarf Car Regionals will be held at the Chowchilla Speedway. Also on the schedule for that afternoon are the 4-Bangers with a big dollar cash shootout, the 4-Banger race is open to any driver that has competed at any track in the State of California and each set of track rules will be honored. The Dwarf Car Regional Championship will decide who the 2009 champion is.

Monday November 2nd Kenny Shepherd was meeting with contractors at the Chowchilla Speedway discussing plans for various improvements during the off season when his phone rang. The gentleman on the other end of the line was in need of a race track, and needed it fast for a November 14th race event that was scheduled at another track but was cancelled.

“I’m not big on adding dates to an existing schedule, and especially one that was just completed, but when I heard it was the Dwarf cars, and their regional race that needed a home, I was quick to say yes. The dwarf cars are a lot like the Legends cars we run on pavement at the Madera Speedway, both provide some of the best competition you will ever see at any race track in the Country” Kenny Shepherd.

The top Dwarf car drivers from all over the Western United States will compete at the Regionals at the Chowchilla Speedway on November 14th, in fact the 2009 point’s battle will be decided at this event and there are just four points separating the top four drivers!

The top 4-Banger drivers from all over the State of California will be on hand to race for some serious cash, and this is just one of two cash races for the 4-Banger driver that normally race for trophies only.

The race date is November 14th and the pit gates open at 10:00am, grand stands open at Noon. Racing starts at Noon and is scheduled to go until 6:00pm. Adult tickets are $10.00 and youth are $5.00, kids five and under are free. All fan club members will receive a $5.00 off coupon making their ticket price just $5.00 for the show!

The Chowchilla Speedway is located at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds located on Fifth Street in Chowchilla California.
