I contacted the guy who inspects the engines and learned it will have to be taken out of the car and go to Goleta for a nominal fee of $150 on my 5.5 hp motor with four races on it! All of that for a 6 yr old racer? Mike even mentioned to me that the engines they did check last year were legal. What are we gaining here and at what cost? Am I missing the big picture?

I just called the motor guy who is sealing the motors. I asked what a new motor from him would cost and he told me 425.00. I can buy one for 309.00. Question Mike, if we have the motor shipped to you so you can see it still in the box would that do or do we still have to have the other guy seal it? We have two cars as other’s do………..just trying to save a little $$. Wish we could just go without points……maybe then the dads could leave the motors alone and let the kids do their thing. It is NOT all about winning. They have so much to learn, that is what we all should be working on.
