First of all I want to make it perfectly clear that the comments below are by a Husband, Father and Grandfather, and does not in any way reflect a position or opinion by Ventura Raceway Management or Officials
This is my personal response to the recent postings on this bulletin board that include personal attacks that are allowed to continue by the Administrators of this Bulletin Board.
Fiction
“It has never been my decision to take off any postings in the past. I have only done so after being directed by Mike Sweeney. He is the sole source of any prior postings being removed” Quote by the administrator.
Fact: I have never directed that any postings be removed! I have strongly suggested that some postings should be removed as they maybe detrimental to the sport and the administrator always agreed to remove them. Most that I have requested to be removed have been personal attacks on individuals or Ventura Raceway. I have often reminded the administration of it’s own policy.

Fact: I discussed the posting from Mike Lewis, which started this whole mess, with the administrator and requested it to be removed. I felt it was going to cause a lot of non-constructive criticism. The administrator elected to let it go. I question why the administrator let this one go on? The only reason I can think of is some of the attacks were on my family and me and this was Tami’s way of making a statement. Look where it has gone – a lot of hurt feelings and bitterness.

Fact: You do not know my family or me at all and have no idea of the responsibilities I have on race day coordinating the events of up to 75 racecars. I am very happy with my association at Ventura Raceway for the last 17 years or so.
Yes there are times that my family and me go home with ALL the emotions you describe.
It stems from all the complaining, bitching, whining that goes on every night.
In all of my 17-year involvement with Dwarfs the 2008 “clicks” were by far the most damaging to the growth of this division.
You have absolutely no clue of what is going on. Your statements are ridiculous.
Fact: I did have some very brief discussions with Tami and expressed my disappointment of what I believe as “ dirty politics” and suggested that she keeps an “arms length relationship” from individuals with a hidden agenda that does not have the best interest of supporting the Dwarfs at Ventura. In my opinion Tami has elected to support the coup.
Fact: It is obvious that there are individuals who think Tami can do a much better job than I can do. Tami, maybe it is time to step up and take over.
Fact: Fran Lippert, has had nothing good to say about VRA and I consider this “stirring the pot”
Fact: VRA will continue to thrive, as it is by far the best OVERALL association in the nation. In addition to the best “dwarf car” track there is.
Fact: The examples of the postings on this BB are the main reason that Ventura Raceway does not have an official BB
Fact: VRA is always looking for people to assist in many ways on race day. Maybe some of the people on this board that have solutions or ideas should step up and contact the Raceway to become involved. Score keeping as an example since there was a lot of complaining in this area.
In closing I want to say there a lot of very good people involved with the VRA. Politics will always be a part of any organization, successful organizations will not let the “dirty politics” destroy them and I can assure you VRA will not let this happen, even if me or my wife are not involved at all.
I applaud those who understand the hard work and dedication that it takes. There are few individuals with a different agenda that continue to “stir the pot” and that sometimes pushes people over the edge. (Jeff Shelton – call me you have my number)

I honestly don't know who you are but, Since you asked:
I personally arrive at the track and leave the track happy! You see I am just there to have fun and believe me i do!
So, does most of this venting about each other have to do with stuff going on in the Kids classes or is there big stuff going on that I'm missing while I'm up in the tower scoring the other races?
Wow! as a new user to this website and a father who is thinking about racing this year (I just relocated to this area), I am seriously having seconds thoughts after what I have read here.
The main concern is that the person "Michael" seems to have an issue with everyone. But is this person someone who is in charge of a part of the Ventura group or what??? I am not sure of the connection. If we had problems like that back home, it definetely was handled behind closed doors, not on a open discussion like here.
Also, I remember reading the beginning agreement when I just signed up for this user name. It said something like people on this site are not to post any abusive, vulgar, threatening items on here or the administrator or the IP address company could take off the message or the account. There is definitely some abuse going on here and wonder why the person who is in charge of this is getting such a bad rap for following rules?

Nope, I have NO issues with anyone! I'm just a driver like everyone else.
I have raced at Ventura once and if I remember right Michael is the one who helps run the track. There are a couple of Micheals writing so not sure who is who. I think it is a hard job so maybe it is just getting to him. Do not let them discourage you from racing. It is the best track around. I hope to get a dwarf and race there again.
