Can you guys believe that the year is almost over? It's hard to believe that we finished another great year of racing!
We want to celebrate this year, along with Halloween and have compiled a list of all the people who have signed up to bring Potluck items to the 10/31 race. If you would like to bring something (food, drink, not too much candy ha ha, etc.), please respond to this bulletin so we can see what else is needed to make this an awesome year-end bash!
We need a couple tables and some Halloween bowls....
Clampitt/Martinez- forks and enchilada casserole
Snyder - meatballs
Wakim - pumpkin pies
Boles - caramel corn
Blades - cookies
Lippert - cookies
Peterson - cupcakes
Gillmore - 7-layer dip
Figueroa - chips and dip
Majors - appetizers
McCree - hotdogs
Tami, thanks for helping to put this all together. Sounds like fun. I was just wondering if the tables are going to be set up outside of the pits or inside. Grandparents, friends, moms (like me) who don't buy a pit pass, won't be allowed into the pits and therefore might starve. LOL. Just something I was wondering about.
Also, do you know if the kids are definitely going to be able to go into the Big Pits to trick-or-treat?
Good points to make, for sure....if we set the tables up outside, we have to worry about the general public having access to all of our goodies too, so I would like to avoid having to monitor that. Maybe we can get approval to let the family and kids in our pits once we are done that night, through the security guards.
I haven't got a complete schedule as to the plans for that evening, but most kids will probably not want to hang around until the very end of the evening to go to the big pit area. If we have an early schedule, most will be leaving shortly after our races are done for the night.
Again, I will contact Jammy and get the specifics as to what is going to be happening that night and get it posted here as soon as possible.
