Junior Class Drivers:

It is time again for the Camarillo Christmas Parade!

The event is on Saturday, December 12, 2009.  

We have several ideas on how to make it different this year and are open to any other ideas!

Please let me know if you are interested in being there again for another great year by responding here!!!

Update on insurance policy:

I finally was able to get some specific requirements regarding the insurance necessary for our kids to drive in the parade.  

We need a million dollar policy, with the second page endorsement, etc.  

I left a message with the City to see if they offer a policy through their insurance company (they do it for other events and things).  I hope to get that information asap!

Or, if anyone knows of a great insurance company that can help us out, please let me know!

The application is going out today so we have a spot, regardless of how we have the cars showing - right???

I will keep you updated as I know, but open to any input you have.

The City DOES NOT provide insurance, so we are back to trying to find an agency that would cover us or to go with our alternate options...

Anyone have any other ideas?

Tami,

Do we not have the option of flat beds this year?  Even if we could get one to volunteer we could set two or three cars on it and have the kids dress in full race attire and ride along.

Brent Stevens (#77) has graciously offered his semi again for the parade.  Last year was a huge success trailering all the cars and decorating the trailer.  Looking forward to another great year and lots of ideas how we can make this year even better! Smile

Christmas parade is still scheduled for Saturday, December 12th at 11am (parade start time).

More details to follow as I get them.
